In September, we began using our new pneumatic leaf remover. This machine utilizes the latest technology, and the benefits are immediately noticeable.
Instead of cutting blades with a fan system, the compressed-air leaf remover uses powerful bursts of air to selectively remove leaves without damaging the grape clusters. This ensures the grapes receive optimal sunlight, which promotes ripening. At the same time, improved air circulation around the clusters reduces the risk of mold growth.
An additional advantage is that the machine ensures a cleaner harvest. Withered leaves and stems trapped among the grape clusters are effectively removed before harvesting begins.
Thanks to the precise operation of the pneumatic leaf remover, we can determine much more accurately how much leaves remain on the vine than with a traditional leaf remover equipped with a fan and cutting blades. This allows us to achieve exactly the balance needed for healthy, top-quality grapes.
